What is the cheapest way to accept card payments with Kokipay?

For most businesses it is Super Saver EFTPOS: one flat rate of 0.92% (ex GST) for all Visa, Mastercard and eftpos transactions, a $28 per month terminal rental and no lock-in contract. If you only take occasional payments, Mobile Tap to Pay has no setup or hardware fees.

Which payment methods can a Kokipay EFTPOS terminal accept?

Kokipay EFTPOS accepts all major cards plus contactless mobile wallets including Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay, using secure NFC.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

No. Kokipay EFTPOS has no lock-in contracts.

Can I use Kokipay EFTPOS with my current POS?

Kokipay EFTPOS works natively with Kokipay Smart POS and online ordering. With another POS, you can run the terminal as a standalone device alongside it.

Can Australian businesses still surcharge card payments?

From 1 October 2026, eftpos, Visa and Mastercard are introducing no-surcharge rules in Australia following the Reserve Bank of Australia’s review of retail payments, and American Express, UnionPay and PayPal have said they will do the same. That means businesses can no longer add a fee because a customer pays by card, so a low flat rate such as Kokipay Super Saver EFTPOS at 0.92% (ex GST) matters more than ever.
